Hi Lindsey,
Thanks for swimming over to planDisney with this great question. I have yet to visit the Water Parks at Walt Disney World Resort, but they are on my to-do list for an upcoming visit. Friends have given them high praise and I know my kids will love making a splash!
The
Disney Water Park Seasonal Pass is a great value if you plan to spend multiple days soaking up the sun and fun. These are available for visits now through May 23, 2025, with a blockout period between April 12 and April 20, 2025. As you
complete the checkout process you'll be prompted to assign each pass to a member of your Family & Friends list. If your daughter's birthday is accurate on her My Disney Experience profile, you can purchase the child pass for guests Ages 3-9.
I reached out to a Cast Member about whether you would need to pay the difference in price once she turned 10. They indicated that the pass would be valid through the season and you would purchase an adult pass for guests Ages 10+ for next season. You can certainly purchase an adult pass for her at this time if you prefer. The difference is a few dollars, but based on my chat with the Cast Member you shouldn't run into any problems with her using the child pass since she is 9 years old at the time of purchase.
I'd also like to mention that
complimentary water park access is a new arrival day perk for guests with eligible 2025 Vacation Packages. You'll be able to visit either
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, subject to availability, on your check-in day included with your Vacation Package. Just check the Hours & Events Calendar to confirm operating hours before your arrival. Disney's Blizzard Beach is currently scheduled to open on November 4, 2024, as Disney's Typhoon Lagoon temporarily closes.
I hope this was helpful, Lindsey. If we can answer additional questions please catch a wave right back here and let us know.
Magic and memories,
Amy
