Hi! We are looking into Pop Century for our next visit and would need 2 rooms for our family of 6. My question is: when we do that is it considered 1 reservation or 2? Can we have one room on the dining plan and the other not? Thank you!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Allison! Thank you so much for bringing us your question! It's great you are considering staying at Disney's Pop Century, one of my favorite value resort hotels! You will love its renovated rooms!

In order to book your rooms, you can do one reservation for two separate rooms. Adding a dining plan to a hotel reservation means that all guests under such a reservation will have the same dining plan. If you would like for only half the people in your party to have the dining plan, then those people would have to be in a separate reservation that is not connected to the first reservation in any way. I've seen families use the dining plan for half their party only and honestly, I wouldn't recommend it. Table service reservations, including character dining, were a bit tricky and keeping track of how many credits were left and who would be using them next was a headache.

Have you checked out the Family Suites at Disney's Art of Animation? They are beautifully decorated (Lion King, Cars, Little Mermaid are wonderful theming options) and are super convenient for your party size, as they could hold the entire family together! I am sure your children will love it!

Please keep sending us more and more questions; we are happy to help!

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
