Welcome to the
Disney Parks Moms Panel, Allison! Thank you so much for bringing us your question! It's great you are considering staying at
Disney's Pop Century, one of my favorite value resort hotels! You will love its renovated rooms!
In order to book your rooms, you can do one reservation for two separate rooms. Adding a
dining plan to a hotel reservation means that all guests under such a reservation will have the same dining plan. If you would like for only half the people in your party to have the dining plan, then those people would have to be in a separate reservation that is not connected to the first reservation in any way. I've seen families use the dining plan for half their party only and honestly, I wouldn't recommend it. Table service reservations, including character dining, were a bit tricky and keeping track of how many credits were left and who would be using them next was a headache.
Have you checked out the Family Suites at
Disney's Art of Animation? They are beautifully decorated (Lion King, Cars, Little Mermaid are wonderful theming options) and are super convenient for your party size, as they could hold the entire family together! I am sure your children will love it!
Please keep sending us more and more questions; we are happy to help!
See ya real soon!
