Looking to plan a weekend trip for family of 4 with payment plan

    Hiya Brianna!

Thank you so much for sending me your Disney World question... that sounds like a practically perfect plan to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth with your family for a weekend! Let's talk about some payment plan options so you can get a wonderful vacation countdown on your calendar.

A couple of ideas come to mind, Brianna. I personally like using my Chase Disney Rewards Visa card for our Disney vacations, as it includes a few pixie-dusted perks. One of the card holder benefits mentioned on their website is "Disney Vacation Financing", where they currently offer 0% financing for 6 months on Disney Cruise Line or Disney Vacation Packages. We also enjoy the exclusive character meet-and-greet experiences offered for cardmembers at EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, which includes free digital download of your family's photos. And probably my favorite thing (but not my husband's) is that you receive a 10% off discount at Disney gift shops. Woo hoo!

Another option is something I've done frequently for my family, which is watch the Disney World website for Special Offers, Deals & Discounts, and when a good deal pops up that works for our dates I make a Disney Vacation Package reservation. When you book both a Disney resort and theme park tickets... it's considered a "vacation package", and only requires a $200 deposit. That deposit is fully refundable for cancellations made 30 days or more prior to guest arrival (prices subject to change). This allows you to make payments of any amount and frequency right up until the final, total amount is due 30 days before arrival.

You can make a payment easily by logging in to My Disney Experience, going to "My Plans", finding your reservation, and selecting "Make a Payment". Typically each time I make a partial payment, I receive an email invoice that shows the amount paid and remaining balance due. This is a great way to lock in any special deals and your room choice (they go fast!) and then make payments at your leisure. And also one of my favorite parts... you'll get to start watching your magical countdown in the My Disney Experience app under "My Resort". Yaaay, you!!

I'm so excited for you, and I hope one of these options works for your family. Please send me another question if you need any tips or recommendations on maximizing your magical Disney weekend... I'd love to help!

    Adventure is out there!
