Hi there, Hannah!
Thank you for stopping by planDisney. Vacations to Disneyland Resort with extended family members are some of my most favorite childhood (and adult!) memories. Cousin time is the best time!
Character Dining is always a fun option for young kids! Your family can enjoy a delicious meal while also saying hello to beloved Disney Characters.
"Minnie & Friends - Breakfast in the Park" at Plaza Inn in Disneyland Park is one of my favorite Character Dining experiences. It is currently the only Character Dining option in the theme parks, making it extra special! The all-you-care-to-enjoy meal offers something for everyone, including Mickey waffles, made-to-order omelets, French toast, and more! Goofy's Kitchen is another fun Character Dining option. Located inside the Disneyland Hotel,
Goofy's Kitchen has tasty food (including Goofy's Famous Peanut Butter Pizza!) and engaging character interactions. Dining reservations are highly recommended and can be made up to 60 days in advance on the Disneyland website or Disneyland mobile app.
The older kids may also be interested in building their own droid at
Droid Depot in
Star Wars:
Galaxy's Edge! This workshop is filled with parts and components that Guests use to build their own droids. Not only is it a fun experience, but it is also the perfect gift because you can keep your droid! Advanced reservations are suggested, as it is a popular experience. While you are in
Star Wars:
Galaxy's Edge, stop by the
Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunter job board. Here you will get a bounty assigned to you as part of a fun, interactive quest through
Star Wars:
Galaxy's Edge. My kids ask to play this game during every visit! They use their
MagicBand+ to find their bounties and report back to the job board. We all love it!
Dining Packages are another option that your entire family would enjoy. My favorite is the
Fantasmic! Dining Package at Blue Bayou Restaurant inside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. My kids like waving to the Guests embarking on their pirate journeys while we eat our dinner. Afterward, we head over to the reserved viewing area to watch Fantasmic! together.
World of Color Dining Packages are also available in Disney California Adventure Park.
Other ideas include a royal makeover at the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (for kids between 3 to 12 years old) or dining at the
Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose. We also like purchasing autograph books and seeing how many Disney Character autographs we can get during our vacations.
Hannah, have a wonderful trip to Disneyland Resort. We hope to see you real soon!
Magic Happens!
Jen
