Hi Amber! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with this great question! I'm excited to hear that you're planning a vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Amber, you'll be happy to know that you can book your trip exactly how you described it in your question. You can combine your
Disney Resorts hotel, park tickets, and Disney Dining Plan all together. To get started, visit the Walt Disney World website and use the
"Build Your Vacation" toolbar at the top of the screen. Once you enter your party size and dates, you will select your Disney Resorts hotel and room type. It will then prompt you to select the number of days you wish to visit the parks. You can select as little as two days and up to ten. After that, you'll choose the Disney Dining Plan you want to add and continue to complete the reservation. I actually prefer having fewer park days than the number of nights at the resort. It allows you a couple of days to fully enjoy the resort without leaving for any part of the day.
The Disney Dining Plan will be tied to your resort reservation, which will require you to have it for the same number of nights your reservation is for. Regardless of how many park days you end up adding, the Disney Dining Plan will not be affected by that at all. I typically opt-in for the dining plan when it is available to me. I love the idea of having my meals already accounted for before my trip even begins. Also, remember that Advanced Dining Reservations are highly suggested for many dining locations across the Walt Disney World Resort. Reservations will be available 60 days in advance of your arrival day.
I hope this information helps you plan for your stay. If any other questions pop up, please
stop back again to planDisney. We'll be happy to help in any way possible.
Have a magical day!
Greg
