Hey there Dillon
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for your question. It's always great to get to answer a question from a fellow Arizonan! It looks like you're headed to the Disneyland Resort in just a few weeks - it'll be here before you know it!
I can certainly understand that plans change especially when visiting with a group. Each
theme park ticket is handled separately and individually so while you typically can upgrade standard tickets or add days and pay the difference, you're not able to combine them in order to upgrade or add additional days. Additionally, according to the
eTicket Terms & Conditions, tickets are nonrefundable.
However, the good news is that the unused ticket for your upcoming trip is certainly not going to waste! Tickets aren't officially assigned to an individual until they are scanned in at the entry gates for the first time after which point they then must be used by the same Guest for the duration of the ticket. That means you can save this ticket and use it for your next trip to the Happiest Place on Earth.
Even if you don't return before the ticket expires, you'll still be able to apply the value of the ticket toward the purchase of a new ticket when you are ready to plan your next trip as long as the new ticket is of equal or greater value. If you end up going this route, just make sure to
reach out to a Cast Member at the Tickets line when you're ready to apply the value of a ticket toward the purchase of a new one.
I hope that helps, Dillon! Sorry if it wasn't the answer you were hoping to hear, but luckily you're not losing out on any value with the unused ticket. I hope you and your family have a fantastic time visiting the Happiest Place on Earth next month.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
