Hello How long in advance do I have to make reservations for a theme park at Walt Disney world Orlando?

    Hi Lisa,

I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney today! I see that your vacation is coming up SOON, and I bet you're getting SO EXCITED for your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth!

You're exactly right that due to Disney's commitment to health and safety for Guests and Cast Members alike, reservations are required for admission into a theme park. Hakuna Matata...no worries, though. The process is easy peasy, and I'd be happy to walk you through the steps you'll need to take to make sure you're all set and ready for your visit! Have you already purchased your theme park tickets? If so, you'll want to make sure that they're linked to your My Disney Experience account. If you haven't, I'd encourage you to check the theme park availability calendar before you do just to make sure there are still openings during your visit. Once you've purchased tickets and linked them to your account (if that didn't happen automagically), it's time to make your park reservations! There's no set timeframe required to make a reservation, as it can be done at any point as long as there's availability, but I'd encourage you to make your theme park reservations as soon as your tickets are purchased. Availability is subject to change and you'll have peace of mind knowing that your spot in the parks is secure.

To make your reservations, you'll want to use the Disney Park Pass system and select "Make a Park Reservation." You'll first create your party by selecting the names of the Mouseketeers who will be visiting with you from your Family & Friends list, then you'll pick the date and theme park you'd like to visit. Once you confirm all of your details are correct, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo! You'll be all set! If you'd prefer, you may also access all of these steps from the My Disney Experience mobile app. Once everything is complete, you'll see your theme park reservations show up under My Plans in your My Disney Experience account.

As you're thinking through all of the final details of your trip, Lisa, the Know Before You Go page and the Panel Extras page right here on planDisney are both full of super helpful tips. If you have any other questions, though, please don't hesitate to come back and see us again! I hope that all your Disney dreams come true, and you have a truly magical vacation!
