Welcome to planDisney, DeAnna!
Spending an evening at
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is the way I like to roll. It'll transport you to the wilderness of America and make you feel at one with the beauty of nature.
Trails End Restaurant serves a hearty, comforting dinner (that is absolutely delicious, by the way), and Chip ‘N’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long is the perfect way to unwind under the stars. Now that my kids are a little bit older and can handle staying up a bit later, this is on my to-do list for my next trip.
You can absolutely park at the resort, DeAnna. Guests coming for dinner or the campfire can use the main Guest
parking area near the settlement. There's no campsite reservation needed. Just keep in mind that parking can fill up, especially on weekends or during special events, so arriving a little early is wise.
If you want a prime spot for the sing-along, head to the pavilion area nice and early. Bring a blanket or a few chairs if you like, and take a few minutes to explore the paths and scenic spots nearby. You might catch a glimpse of the horses, a boat on the lake, or just enjoy the peaceful forest setting before the entertainment begins.
