    Hi - How does Magic Band plus work at Disneyland? Staying at Disneyland Hotel. Can I use the band in the parks to charge to my room reservation? Can I use the magic band to tap into the park for Lightning Lanes and Genie Plus?

    Hey there Christopher, welcome to planDisney, it looks like you have a very magical trip coming up!

    We just got back from a wonderful vacation where we also stayed at the Disneyland Hotel, you will feel the magic and nostalgia of Disney as soon as you step on property!  Magic Band+ works a bit differently at the Disneyland Resort than at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.  You are not able to use your MagicBand+ for merchandise purchases or dining in the theme parks to charge back to your hotel room.

    However, you are definitely able to use your MagicBand+ for Lightning Lane selections.  I am always concerned about saving my mobile phone battery throughout the day, and using my MagicBand+ instead of having to pull out my phone every time is a great way to conserve my battery.  You also can use your MagicBand+ to enter either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park.  

    There also are several fun interactions to experience to help celebrate the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration!  Our favorite one to experience is in a window in Fantasyland by the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Disneyland Park.  You'll tap your MagicBand+ and reveal a fun little experience for some of the most beloved attractions!
