Hi Alan! Thanks for visiting planDisney.
If your paper ticket has a barcode, we can use that to link the ticket to the
Disneyland mobile app. It's super easy and I can walk you through it in just a couple of steps.
If you've downloaded the app and signed in with your MyDisney account, tap the three-bar menu on the bottom right side of the screen. This will bring up a series of tiles, and "My Tickets & Passes" should be at the top. Tap the "My Tickets & Passes" tile to begin linking your tickets. Do you see the "Link Tickets & Passes" option on the next page with a barcode? Tap there. On the next page, the default tab to link is "Camera," which is the option you want to use to take advantage of the barcode, so no need to switch tabs. Simply tap "Open Camera" at the bottom of the screen to use the camera on your mobile device to scan the barcode on your paper ticket. Line up the barcode on your ticket with the viewfinder that will pop up to link the ticket.
Your tickets also might already be linked. If they are, you'll see them in the app after you tap "My Tickets & Passes." If they're not there and you aren't able to link using the barcode, please call the
Tickets phone line to speak with a helpful Cast Member. Have the e-mail you used to make the admission ticket purchase and ticket ID numbers handy just in case. They'll assist you in any way they possibly can!
The Disneyland mobile app will be a really handy tool during your park visit. Play around in it prior to your arrival to familiarize yourself with the options and where to locate them. You can scan into the parks, book Lightning Lane return times with Genie+, mobile order food and beverages, check wait times, link Disney's PhotoPass Service photos, and more with the app!
I hope this helps.
Elizabeth
