Hi, Jennifer!
Welcome back to
planDisney, and thanks so much for asking us another question. My family once spent a memorable Independence Day at the
Disneyland Resort, and we had such fun celebrating the birth of the United States at the Happiest Place on Earth! There were special decorations and a fireworks show set to patriotic music at
Disneyland Park.
The theme parks, especially Disneyland Park, are usually very busy on the 4th of July, and Guests often start staking out a spot to view the fireworks show on Main Street, U.S.A. several hours in advance. While
park hopping is always subject to capacity limits and is not guaranteed, your best bet is to exit
Disney California Adventure Park and be ready to enter Disneyland Park right at 11:00 a.m. If being inside the park to view the evening fireworks is your priority, I suggest entering as soon as possible and not leaving the park until you’re ready to retire for the evening as crowds are sure to become heavier as the day goes on. If the ability to switch between parks becomes unavailable at any time, Guests will be notified right away via a push notification from the
Disneyland mobile app.
I hope this helps you make plans, Jennifer, and that you have a perfectly pixie-dusted vacation this summer! Please
write back with any other questions you can dream of as your trip approaches.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
