Hi there, Tony! Welcome to planDisney!

Your Disney cruise is right around the corner, and I’m so excited for you! A Halloween on the High Seas sailing is one of my favorite themes aboard Disney Cruise Line! There are regular Halloween celebrations on land, and then there are magical Halloween celebrations at sea with Mickey and his pals, which top them all! I would be happy to explain how a pre-cruise hotel stay and Disney Cruise Line Ground Transportation work to get you to that exciting cruise!

There are currently three hotels in Fort Lauderdale that offer Disney Cruise Line Ground Transportation to Port Everglades. They are the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort and Spa, Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina, and the Omni Fort Lauderdale. Ground Transportation is also offered from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

To book Disney Cruise Line Ground Transportation, you can either call Disney Cruise Line or book it on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App or the Disney Cruise Line website, under the “Next Steps” tab, and then click “Ground Transportation”. If you booked your Disney cruise with a travel agent, you should call them to make the Ground Transportation reservation for you.

You’ll be assigned a Port Arrival Time after completing your Online Check-In. While it’s been my experience that guests taking Disney Cruise Line Ground Transportation have a Port Arrival Time that’s earlier in the day, it’s not always guaranteed.

As for luggage, as long as you’re staying at one of the three participating hotels that offer Disney Cruise Line Ground Transportation, Disney Cruise Line will take your luggage on embarkation day over to the cruise port! It’s so convenient and makes the embarkation day much easier! Luggage tags will be sent to your home by mail, and you can place them on your luggage on the morning you embark on your cruise. After your luggage is picked up that day, you won’t have to worry about it until you see it later on in your stateroom on board your cruise!
