I want to know if I took the new bus route 311 from MCO Orlando Airport to Disney Spring with my luggage with me, may I transfer to Disney bus with my luggage to Disney resorts?

Hey there Zhi, and welcome to planDisney!

It sounds like you've heard about one of the newest ways that budget-savvy guests can make the journey after landing at Orlando International Airport to Walt Disney World Resort property in a more economical and environmentally-friendly way! In the spirit of the Earth Month celebrations taking place here, I'm happy to lend some handy tips and knowledge about using public transportation on your upcoming trip:

    • With the new 311 route now providing guests the opportunity to transit between the airport (MCO) at the current LYNX fare prices, this trip can definitely save a chunk of funds that might've been spent on a rental car or shuttle service - which can then be used instead for all of the great Disney Eats and merchandise in and around the theme parks!
    • To make your way to the Disney Resort Hotel buses, you'll be required to pass through security first; though it's not necessarily rare for guests to be wheeling luggage through Disney Springs, you should be prepared to open your bags for inspection if requested. Depending on how much you've packed, be prepared for a stretch of pathway that may be busy as you pass AMC® Disney Springs 24 Dine-In Theatres and head towards the buses as soon as you turn by the Coca-Cola Store.
Generally I've observed folks and families alike being welcomed and assisted by friendly Cast Members as they take their luggage on bus transportation, and we should always look to encourage folks to take advantage of these greener options in the spirit of reducing emissions and the number of vehicles on the road when it isn't necessary. Be mindful that offerings and policies may be subject to change without prior notice, but at the current time your plan of action sounds perfectly doable! As long as you're prepared for the journey ahead, I hope that you find this to be a great alternative as you may your way to your next stay!

A standing ovation for public transportation!
