Port Orleans Riverside Pool

    I know the pool at Port Orleans French Quarter will be closed at the beginning of 2024, does that also include the splash pad area?

    Hiya Tricia,

    Welcome to planDisney! Maybe it’s the fresh Mickey-shaped Beignets or the smooth jazzy tunes at Scat Cat’s Club, but there is something special about Disney’s Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter. As a Princess and the Frog super fan, it is one of my favorite moderate resorts at Walt Disney World Resort!

    Tricia, it doesn’t matter what time of year it is, my little one loves a splash pad. As you noted, the Doubloon Lagoon Pool at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter is closed for routine maintenance from January 2024 to April 2024. When I reached out to a Cast Member, they said that while the announcement doesn’t officially notate the splash pad, the closure likely also includes the splash pad. The great news is that Ol’ Man Island Pool at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside has a kiddie pool perfect for little ones to enjoy.

    I hope this was helpful, Tricia. Before I let you go, if you are looking for the ultimate splash pad, I cannot recommend enough Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana. My little one loved it and had the best time interacting with all the water features. Be sure to pack an extra change of clothes for that day, Tricia.
