Hi, I would like to know if a disabled veteran can buy the salute tickets for the disney parks in orlando?

    Welcome to planDisney, Samantha!

It’s so nice to meet you, and thank you for trusting us with your question. I’ll be more than happy to help you plan for your upcoming visit. I would like to begin by first sharing a thank you to the veteran in your life. "Thank You!". Please extend my gratitude and appreciation to them for me.

Now, when it comes to using the Military Salute offer, I recommend looking at the “Important Details” section at the bottom of the page to verify your veteran’s eligibility. I see that the eligible service members who qualify for this offer are active or retired members of the US Military. So if your veteran is also a retiree, they will qualify for this special offer! After you've confirmed their eligibility, they can purchase these tickets at their local military ticketing office or Shades of Green

As a military spouse myself, I recommend also taking a look at the Special Deals & Discounts offered through the Walt Disney World Resort. Sometimes these offers work out better than the military offer. It really just depends on what your family is looking to do while visiting. I recommend planning out your visit on the website and comparing different resort options and different ticket lengths to see what would work best for your family.

When we visit, we like to plan for at least 4-day tickets so that we can visit one park each day. Anything after that is a bonus! My husband’s only request is a resort day. That’s where we stay at our resort for the day and enjoy the resort's amenities, like the pool or special dining options. Sometimes, we even venture to a different resort for a new meal. Most recently, we enjoyed Story Book Dining at Artist Point. My kids loved taking the boat over from Magic Kingdom to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. It made our non-park day into a whole new adventure, which they loved.

Samantha, I hope this helps give you an idea of all the options you have when planning a Walt Disney World vacation. Please be sure to let us know if there’s anything else we can help with!

    Magical Memories,

Meet the Panelist: Shantel, Alabama

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
