If I wanted to upgrade my hotel reservation. Can that be done ?

Welcome Foolish Mortal to the Haunted Mansion. I’ll be your host, your ghost host, for the remainder of this conversation. And I can’t wait for you to check in. I’ve heard the mansion has 999 happy haunts, but there’s always room for one more!

The good thing is you’ll probably be visiting with more than a party of one, so we can cross staying at the Haunted Mansion off our list. I do recommend stopping by for a visit while exploring Magic Kingdom, though. Now, going back to your upgrade, you'll want to give the Walt Disney World reservations line a call. A Cast Member there will be more than happy to check out any other available resorts for you. They will also be able to give you a new price estimate and make that switch over for you during your call.

Do you have any idea as to where you’re looking to upgrade to? My upgrade recommendations include the Grand Floridian for its location to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom Lodge for the atmosphere. Both resorts have been a hit for our family and an upgrade from our usual stay at Pop Century. The only thing my little ones miss is the Skyliner. But you do get the monorail while staying at the Grand Floridian, so that is a win.

I’m sure whichever resort you choose will be a perfect fit! Overall, I’m pleased with any resort at Walt Disney World. Each resort has its unique offering so I always recommend trying something new. It’s been a family must for our trips. When we can, we like to stay somewhere different because we enjoy experiencing the new and comparing resort offerings to each other. For example, we loved how close the beignets were when staying at the French Quarter, but then we loved the pool at Disney’s Caribbean and Beach. Honestly, there are so many fun parts, that it’s hard to choose a favorite resort.

Naomi, I hope this helps answer your question and maybe even opens up your planning to other resorts to take a look at. Don’t forget to pop into Tower of Terror; I heard the drop-in is thrilling!

    Happy Haunts,

    Shantel

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
