Hiya Beth!
Welcome to planDisney! My friend-can I call you friend? You are on your game. In your question, you have clearly shown me that you have been planning and preparing for an upcoming trip and doing fabulously. You are my people. Welcome. (Wait, I already said that)
Anyway, to answer your question, it is YES! A child between the
ages of 13 and 17 will not be able to store or save payment information in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. However, they are free to enter their payment information each time they use the app to check out during
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering. I experimented a bit and confirmed this piece of information. As a "teenager", I was able to enter a credit card, or gift card or even use Apple Pay while trying to check out using Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering. If paying with a credit card, you can photograph the card in the field so it manually fills in which is a bit of a timesaving tip. If you are paying with a gift card then I suggest saving the card information on something like a Notes App and copying and pasting each time you need to use it. (Thanks to my friend
Aena for being helpful with that tip!)
During my experimenting, I found myself tempted to order food that I was in no way able to pick up in time as I was in my home in New York! The Chipotle Barbecue All-Beef Food-long Hot Dog from
Casey's Corner sure was tempting. I hope you have more success and happiness in the Parks soon!
Happy Planning!
