Howdy y'all, from the Lone Star State! Before calling Walt Disney World (and Texas) home, at a young age my family moved to the U.S. from Pakistan. As overwhelming as moving to a completely new country might seem, I knew one thing: America was the home of Mickey Mouse and the happiest place on earth. Walt Disney World was my vision of the American Dream. Now I have the incredible privilege to share my experience with all those seeking the magic of Disney. Nothing soothes my soul like a good book or writing, so I majored in English Literature and went on to teach high school English. I'm an adventurous eater; I like food and food likes me! This is one of the many reasons I adore Epcot, and all the diverse cuisines it has to offer. I love to sing; you can find me belting out Disney tunes pretty much anywhere, but fair warning: I never said I was good!
About My Family
The first time I met my prince, I knew he was the one because he made me laugh until my stomach ached. Not to mention, my Disney obsession didn't scare him off! My husband had never experienced visiting Walt Disney World Resort, and I felt it was my duty to show him this whole new world. We were married in 2009 and have been traveling the world since. I'm a mother to two amazing, inquisitive little boys (imagine Jack-Jack times two). When they're not thinking about Walt Disney World, planning a trip to Walt Disney World, or playing at Walt Disney World, they pretend they're Imagineers creating the next big ride! Together, we continue to enjoy this magic carpet ride.
About My Disney Experience
Imagine walking into the tunnels that lead you to Main Street, U.S.A. Can you hear the jubilant music playing? Smell the sweet aroma as you pass by the Main Street Confectionery, listen to the crowd gasp as they see it: Cinderella Castle. I remember the very first time I saw it. My father worked overnight shifts and saved up to bring his daughters for the first time. I remember holding his hand as we entered Main Street, U.S.A., and even as a child, feeling overcome with emotion. Here was the fairytale that I'd dreamed about come to life! That feeling never fades. I still get emotional every single time I see the castle spires piercing the Florida sky. Walt Disney World Resort was such a special part of my childhood, and I now get to bring my sons through those same tunnels into a world of imagination, fantasy, and magic. My passion lies within the walls of Walt Disney World. For us, it's home.
