Hiya, Marrissa! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with
such a great planning question!
Since you know all about Virtual Queues and the exciting changes happening at
Walt Disney World Resort on January 9, 2024, such as no longer needing Theme Park Reservations for date-based tickets, it sounds like your planning is off to a practically perfect start, Marrissa. Dotting every "i" and "t" is the name of our planning game here at planDisney, and I'm thrilled to help you tie up your loose planning ends so you can sit back, relax and start your countdown to the magic.
Hakuna Matata, Marrissa! It means "no worries." Even though you will not have Theme Park Reservations, if you have valid park admission, you
will be able to request to join a
Virtual Queue at any theme park on your My Disney Experience app at 7:00 a.m. You can hold one attraction Virtual Queue at a time, and although you do not have to be inside the theme park to join a Virtual Queue at 7:00 a.m., you
do still have to be tapped into the theme park to join a Virtual Queue in that park at 1:00 p.m.
Marrissa, when it comes to requesting to join a Virtual Queue, you want to make sure you have fast fingers! A few minutes before 7:00 a.m., I suggest logging into your My Disney Experience app, selecting the Virtual Queue you want to join and confirming your party. Then, the moment the clock strikes 7:00 a.m., quickly request to join. I'll be wishing upon a star that you get exactly what you want!
I hope this was helpful, Marrissa, and I hope you have the most magical and memorable time on your upcoming adventure at The Most Magical Place on Earth! Please feel free to stop by any time with any planning questions you may have.
You've got a friend in me,
Mandy
