Hiya Tiffany!
Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your dining question! You are just a couple of short weeks away from being in
Walt Disney World and snacking your way through the parks. Which, honestly, is one of my favorite parts of visiting the parks. And speaking of snacks, let’s chat about that picky eater of yours.
As a mom of two, I completely understand the picky eater situation. My youngest is in her very picky-eating era, while my oldest has finally made it to the other side, so I promise there is hope and plenty of tasty options along the way.
In my experience, if a location offers chicken tenders, there is usually barbecue sauce available too. My girls are big BBQ fans as well, so I always keep an eye out for that. A great tip is to check dining menus ahead of time, right in your
My Disney Experience app. It makes planning so much easier and gives you a good idea of what will work for your little one before you even arrive.
If it gives you peace of mind, you are more than welcome to bring a backup barbecue sauce with you. Just keep in mind, according to the
Resort Property Rules, that glass containers are not allowed in the parks, except for small items like baby food jars, so stick with something travel-friendly.
One snack I highly recommend, which is always a hit with kids (and adults), is the make-your-own popcorn at Kernel Kitchen inside the
Main Street Confectionery at
Magic Kingdom. It is such a fun experience because your son gets to be part of the magic by choosing his own mix-ins and drizzle. It turns snack time into a whole moment. We love grabbing it before a parade and enjoying it while we watch the magic go by.
Tiffany, I hope this helps you feel a little more at ease as you plan. You’ve got this, and Disney makes it so easy to keep even the pickiest eaters happy. If you have any more questions, I am always here to help.
See you real soon,
Christina
