Is journey of water wheelchair accessible

    Hi there, Jeanette!

Welcome to planDisney! How exciting that you are planning a vacation to The Most Magical Place On Earth! If you’re visiting in the next few months, I think you’ll find Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is such a fun, beautiful way to cool down on warm days. Between the mist in the air and the shaded areas of the trail, I’ve found that Guests don’t even need to get wet in order to enjoy the details (be on the lookout for Pua and other favorites carved into the stone) and cool down!

Happily, because Journey of Water is indeed wheelchair accessible, everyone is able to answer the call of the sea and enjoy the experience of seeing water come to life! It is important to note that wheelchair access is only available on the dry path of the trail, but because the wet and dry paths are so close to each other, Guests on the dry path don’t have to forgo the beautiful views (the trail features one of my favorite views of Spaceship Earth) and are also able to see those on the wet path taking part in the interactive portions of the experience. Honestly, I could watch the delight of little ones as they marvel at the magic for hours.

Finally, if you’re hoping to capture the iconic photo with Te Fiti (and I hope you are), you’ll be thrilled to hear that the photo op is available to Guests no matter which path they choose!

If you can’t tell, Journey of Water is always on my list of magical must-dos, so I hope this has encouraged you to check it out! If you have any additional questions as you plan, feel free to stop back by. I’m always happy to help!

What can I say except ‘You’re Welcome’?
