Greetings, Kevin, and welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for coming to us with your question and I like the way your touring plan is developing! The
Blue Bayou Restaurant is an iconic venue located in New Orleans Square in the same building that houses
Pirates of the Caribbean, my personal favorite attraction! Where else can you dine on the patio of an elegant Southern Mansion under a perpetual twilight sky with the sounds of crickets and bullfrogs, as boats glide by with Guests about to go on an epic adventure?
Dining reservations are released 60 days in advance and Blue Bayou reservations are extremely popular so they tend to go fast. In preparation for an upcoming trip, I found that new reservations were released at 6 a.m. PT, which means that I was awake early in the morning watching the clock, and when 6 a.m. struck, I immediately began searching for reservations on the
Disneyland Mobile App and securing my bookings. I repeated this process for each day of my visit at the 60 day mark and I'm happy to report that I was able to book some great venues. If you aren't able to get the reservation you wanted, you can always try checking
Mobile Dine Walk-Up Availability on the day of your visit.
The 60 day mark is quickly approaching for your visit, so I would recommend familiarizing yourself with the Disneyland Mobile App and the process for making
dining reservations. It also helps to have a credit card already stored in the App to expedite the process because you'll need one to hold a reservation and you don't want to be delayed having to enter your card number.
Kevin, I hope you found this helpful and I wish you the best of luck in grabbing that coveted Blue Bayou reservation! Please write back to us if you have any further questions. We'd love to hear from you and we wish you a truly wonderful visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
Have a Magical Day!
