Welcome back to planDisney, Yvette!
Jolly Holiday is one of my go-to spots as well when visiting Disneyland, and there’s nothing quite like the comforting combo of a warm grilled cheese and tomato soup, especially for a late-night meal on a chilly evening.
Unfortunately, the beloved grilled cheese and tomato soup combo is currently unavailable while Jolly Holiday Bakery undergoes refurbishment. However, there are plenty of other hearty meal options around Disneyland to satisfy your cravings. Just a short stroll away,
Refreshment Corner offers several sourdough bread bowl delights, including the delicious Mac & Cheese Chili in a Sourdough Bread Bowl. Over in New Orleans Square, the
Royal Street Veranda serves up a Fresh-Baked Sourdough Bread Bowl filled with creamy Clam Chowder. And don’t sleep on the Snack-Size Mardi Gras Monte Cristo. It’s a smaller yet equally scrumptious portion of the iconic Monte Cristo sandwich, perfect for sharing! If you’re in the mood for a bold and savory treat, the Steak Gumbo in a bread bowl at
Harbour Galley is another fantastic choice.
Yvette, if you’re still craving a version of tomato soup and happen to be a Magic Key holder, I have a delicious alternative for you! Head over to the
Magic Key Terrace in
Disney California Adventure, where you’ll find the Jolly Tomato-Basil Soup. This elevated take on the classic dish features House Ricotta, Basil Pesto, Herb Croutons, and Micro Basil. My fellow panelist,
Kriss, recently tried this soup and really enjoyed it!
Now for some exciting news: Jolly Holiday Bakery is currently scheduled to reopen on March 22nd! In just a few short weeks, the grilled cheese and tomato soup combo will be making its grand return, and I, for one, can’t wait to enjoy it once again.
I hope this information helps as you plan your Disneyland dining adventures, Yvette. If you have any other planning questions or would like additional dining recommendations, please stop by and visit us again at planDisney.
Bon appétit, and happy snacking!
