Welcome back to planDisney, Kelly!
It's always a delight to see one of your questions, especially now about the magic of Disneyland Paris, past and future!
Kelly, you are not gonna believe this, but I was right there with you for that inaugural Disneyland Paris Half Marathon, proudly earning my Castle to Chateau Challenge medal! I was hooked—I returned the next year and the one after that, fully intent on making it a cherished annual tradition, just like my New Year’s Day visits with my students. Those runs were such a magical way to combine fitness with a dose of pixie dust and a dash of international adventure!
But,
seasons change in life as well as at the Disney Parks, sometimes plans take a detour. The 2020 pandemic brought a pause to our beloved Disneyland Paris Half Marathon weekend, and it hasn’t made its grand return just yet. As of now, there’s no news on the horizon from the
runDisney website about any Disneyland Paris events, but you know what they say—never stop dreaming, because you never know when the next surprise might pop up like
Tigrou!
But don’t worry, Kelly! There’s still plenty of magic waiting for you at Disneyland Paris! The resort has been buzzing with exciting new additions over the past few years, especially at the
Walt Disney Studios Park. Since your last visit,
Avengers Campus has opened its doors, and The Art of Marvel Hotel is now welcoming guests in true superhero style. Plus, there’s something really cool on the horizon—
World of Frozen a brand-new themed area is set to debut in 2026! Quel délice!
I know this might not be the update you were hoping for, Kelly, but I promise there are endless reasons to return to the most beautiful Disney castle on Earth. It’s been such a blast researching this with you, Kelly! I’m just as excited as you are to plan another magical visit, so I hope you’ll
come back again the next time you seek adventure in the great wide somewhere—I want it more than I can tell.
C’est la fệte! Danielle
