I’m wanting to go to Epcot tomorrow. There are no reservations available. I made reservations for animal kingdom instead. Do I have to enter animal kingdom first or can we go straight to Epcot?

Welcome to the planDisney, and welcome to the Most Magical Place on Earth, Kimberly! I hope you're ready to check out all of the new summer celebrations during your visit; there's so much to see and do all around you! But first, let's get right into your question so you can get to the parks!

With the current park reservation system, if your park hopper ticket requires you to make a Theme Park Reservation, you will have to first tap into your reserved park before hopping to another one. The good news is that Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park typically opens earlier than the other theme parks, so if you have made your reservation for this park and tap in first thing in the morning, you will then be able to head over to EPCOT as soon as you are ready!

Another consideration, if you are staying as a Guest at a Disney Resort hotel, you can tap into your reserved theme park 30 minutes before opening time for Early Theme Park Entry before heading to your second park of the day. This is a great strategy to maximize your time in the parks as the lines for attractions during these early 30 minutes will be shorter and move faster!

I'd also like to remind you, Kimberly, that even if you have another park reserved, with the Park Hopper Option, you can still opt to join the Virtual Queue for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at 7 AM. So if this is part of your EPCOT plans, be sure to log into your My Disney Experience mobile app before 7 AM to confirm your boarding group and be ready to refresh right at 7 AM to join the Virtual Queue. Before you know it, you'll be on your way to save the galaxy!

While you're in EPCOT, be sure to check out the new CommuniCore Hall and Plaza where you'll find a brand new character meet and greet area, Mickey and Friends! Also stop by the America Pavilion in World Showcase to view the new Portraits of Courage display, which shares the inspirational stories of service members and veterans who have served America since 9/11.

Kimberly, I hope you have a fantastic vacation! If you have any other questions while you're enjoying the magic, come back and let me know! I'd be happy to help again!
