Hello, Jordan. Welcome to planDisney, where we happily answer all sorts of
Disney vacation planning questions.
If you purchased a
theme park ticket by selecting a specific window of dates for which you can use them, they are considered date-based tickets and currently do not need
Theme Park Reservations. However, if you did not select dates from a calendar when purchasing your tickets, you must make Theme Park Reservations at this time. It sounds like this is the case with the tickets you currently possess. Some specific examples of tickets that currently require a Theme Park Reservation would be
student group tickets, Sports and Convention Tickets, Annual Passes, Disney Military Salute Tickets, and Florida resident Discover Disney Tickets.
As an
Annual Passholder since last August, I have found that as long as I am planning ahead, it is pretty rare for Theme Park Reservations to not be available for the dates I'd like to book. Once I know when I'm visiting the resort, I immediately check the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar and book my days. In fact, as of writing this answer, all dates in June, which is when it looks like you're planning to arrive, currently have all parks available for theme park ticket holders. Since this could change, the sooner you book your reservations, the better. After all,
Tiana's Bayou Adventure opens up in
Magic Kingdom Park on June 28, 2024, so that one might book up quickly the closer you get to that date. And since I'm not sure exactly how long your vacation will be, I should probably mention that the 4th of July holiday tends to get very crowded as well.
Jordan, I wish you all the best with booking your preferred dates and parks.
Be sure to reach out again if you have any other questions!
