Welcome to planDisney, Grace! I admire your planning prowess, but I'm sorry to hear that those
Lightning Lane Multi Passes aren't being very magical. Let's get down to business to see what the problem might be.
Guests staying at select Disney Resort Hotels can purchase Lightning Lane passes
7 days before check-in for the length of their visit (up to 10 days). If you're staying onsite, my first suggestion is to be sure your resort reservation and theme park tickets are linked to your My Disney Experience account. Depending on your admission type, you might also need a
theme park reservation. Once all of these are linked to your account, the system should allow you to buy Lightning Lane passes at the 7-day mark.
Offsite guests can purchase Lightning Lane passes 3 days in advance on a rolling basis. I'm a local annual passholder, so this is what I typically do. Availability is usually more limited by then, but my tip is to grab what you can when your window opens at 7:00 AM sharp and
keep checking the app for more times. Guests often change their plans, and I've been lucky to snag previously sold-out attractions once I scan into the theme park.
If all your plans are linked and in order, feel free to reach out to the
App and MagicBand Support line if you're still unable to purchase Lightning Lane passes. Those Cast Members can view your account information and even help you book Multi-Pass attractions. It's almost like they have magic wands!
My favorite theme park for using Lightning Lane Multi Passes is
Magic Kingdom Park. So many rides are included that my family really gets our money's worth. I always have my app ready to select a new attraction as soon as we've all scanned in for one. I don't waste a single second!
Grace, I hope your upcoming visit is full of fun and pixie dust. Good luck securing those Lightning Lane passes, and stop by
planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
