If I have just one day tickets, and we are unable to go, would I still be able to cancel the trip and use them on a future one? And if they were valid for May 10, 2026 how long before the expiration date? It is not included in the email I received.

A great big Texas-sized howdy, Alexis, and thank you kindly for stopping by planDisney! You have a trip on the books coming up soon, but it sounds like your plans might be changing. Let's rustle up some answers about using your tickets in the future.

Since your trip is just around the bend, I suggest you call the Tickets and Hotel Reservations line as soon as you can. Those Cast Members can see your account information and let you know your options based on the type of tickets you have.

In general, guests can modify most theme park tickets until the end of their expiration date. If you purchased a one-day ticket for May 10, you probably have until the end of that day to make any changes, but I'd feel much better if you called in now to confirm.

If you're a do-it-yourself kind of person, you can try to modify your tickets online. Just hover over the My Disney Experience tab at the top right of the Walt Disney World Resort homepage and select My Plans and Tickets. You should see your tickets listed, and if they're eligible for online change, you'll click the Modify button and follow the prompts.

Theme park tickets are typically nonrefundable, but you can usually apply the amount you paid toward a future ticket. You'll be responsible for any additional cost, so my tip is to have your ticket and payment information handy when you call. I'm wishing on a star you can work out a practically perfect solution!

When you do make it to the theme parks, I hope you take advantage of Disney PhotoPass Service. I think of those photographers as Fairy Godparents in bright green shirts! They'll snap some fantastic photos to commemorate your visit, and you can select the ones you'd like to purchase. I always go for the digital downloads so I can easily share my trip pictures online. Say, "Cheese!"

I hope your posse can amble into the theme parks this weekend, Alexis. If you do change your dates, please reach out to planDisney for tips and suggestions to make your upcoming visit as magical as possible. Much obliged!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
