Lori,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is such a fun time! It has become something of an unofficial part of our annual planDisney reunions to attend, with most even jumping in with some fairly elaborate costumes as well!
When you take advantage of Disney Resort Hotel guests being able to book special event tickets in advance of their public release, the reservations system in the past has only opened up those dates that correspond with your stay. In your case you would see the dates of October 11-12 available, but not the later dates when you are staying off-property, unfortunately. That is not to say that in 2024 the online reservation system might not have been adjusted to allow what you suggest, but I guess that you would want to book that date on the 11th. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party events typically sell out, so make sure to save that date!
BONUS TIP #1
If you are already in the
Magic Kingdom during the day and also attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you do not have to leave and re-enter the park just to get your wristband. You also don't even have to go back to the front of the park to Guest Services to get a band. There are stations strategically located around the park where you can quickly get your party wristband without leaving the magic. You can even do it before 4 p.m. Cast members should have no problem directing you to the nearest one.
BONUS TIP #2
At these sign-in stations, you will also get an event map, and your treat bag!
BONUS TIP #3Check out the Disney Parks Blog for more on some of the fun that is in store for you at the Halloween Party. They even have a post with some great
costume planning tips from the planDisney crew.
BONUS TIP #4Many Halloween Party guests love their costumes but forget that they are in Orlando at a time when it is warmer than the Fall temperatures they may enjoy back home. Choose a costume that gives you and your family some layers that can be removed if the heat and humidity rise more than expected.
