A warm welcome to you, Lori! Thank you for visiting planDisney and for your question! From all of us at planDisney, thank you for your family's service. I am happy to help!
I am so happy to hear you plan on visiting Walt Disney World Resort next year! There are a few military benefits for our community, and I am happy to share some information and tips I've learned over the years. First, let's talk about those tickets! As an active duty family, you qualify for the
Disney Military Salute Tickets! Typically, announcements for
Salute ticket renewals are announced for the following year in the fall, so lookout for that magical announcement! The Disney Parks Blog will announce this renewal first! This also applies to the
military rates at select Disney Resort hotels. The
dining plans are not included in the military rate.
Once that announcement has been made, I suggest making your resort reservation as soon as possible. Rooms are limited, and they do fill up fast! The Salute tickets can be linked through your
My Disney Experience mobile app later on, but make sure you make
Theme Park Reservations with those. This ticket type still requires a reservation to enter the theme parks. These tickets also require an activation, which can be done at Guest Relations, which is located outside all four theme parks, and Disney Springs. I like to activate mine at Disney Springs the day before my first theme park visit, that way I am ready to go!
Another military perk is the
Memory Maker discount! There are so many photo opportunities throughout Walt Disney World, and all the fun attraction photos are also included! The current price for the military is $98 (subject to change) which is a great deal. You can purchase Memory Maker when activating your tickets at Guest Relations.
Lori, I hope all of this information was helpful today! Thank you for visiting planDisney! If you need additional pixie dust during your planning phase, please
send me questions directly. You've got a friend in me!
Magic Awaits!
