Hello, Justin, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited for you. The Disneyland Resort is the perfect setting for an occasion as special as a proposal, and it's a great idea to capture the moment in a photo!
There isn't currently an option to reserve a photographer at the Disneyland Resort, but you can use the
Disney PhotoPass service to get photos while you propose. Wait in line at a PhotoPass location, like Sleeping Beauty Castle. Once the photographer is positioned and ready, it would be time to pop the question. You can see all the PhotoPass locations in the
Disneyland mobile app – navigate to the map and scroll along the top until you get to the "PhotoPass" icon.
You can also keep an eye out for
Disney PhotoPass photographers who are not stationed at a designated PhotoPass location. They may be able to spend a few minutes taking photos of you both in one area of the park. This would be a great way to capture the proposal and a few happy photos afterward. Availability can vary, so I'd recommend having a backup plan in mind just in case.
If you have the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you'll get unlimited downloads of the PhotoPass photos you take that day. Of course, you'll also benefit from being able to access shorter queues at participating attractions. If you didn't add the multi pass when you first purchased your tickets, you may be able to make an upgrade in the
Disneyland mobile app or on the
Disneyland Resort website. Otherwise, you can purchase the multi pass in the app after entering the park, subject to availability.
Don't forget to pick up complimentary “Happily Ever After” buttons at City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. or a merchandise location. I've also seen bride and groom Disney ears available for purchase in the park, which would be cute to wear in photos.
Justin, I hope everything comes together as perfectly as a fairytale ending. This will be such a magical visit! Please reach out if you have any other questions. We're always happy to help here at planDisney.
Wishing you both all the happiness in the world,
Kriss
