Oh boy! Your family reunion sounds swell. Is there any chance you have room to adopt one more?
I like your plan for a Fall Break Disney Cruise Line family reunion. During my family's first Disney cruise to Alaska, we met another family from our home state of Utah. They were on board with a large extended family for a reunion, similar to what you are planning. As we talked with them, we could tell they were having the adventure of a lifetime and creating the most amazing memories that would stay with them forever. You are going to love your Disney cruise reunion.
Earlier this year, in February, the latest Disney Cruise Line itineraries were announced. Those itineraries covered cruises as far out as September 2027. At this time, we are still awaiting the announcement of the next wave of itineraries, including those that would be bookable for October 2027. The exact time those itineraries will be announced could vary. If recent history is any indication, we might hear about them as soon as later this Summer. I recommend watching the Disney Parks Blog and the Disney Cruise Line's own list of the newest itineraries to discover when you can book that October 2027 cruise for you and your family.
After the new itineraries are released for booking by the general public, or possibly sooner, if you are already a Castaway Club member, I highly recommend making your reservations as soon as possible. That way, you'll gain access to the best selection of staterooms and, usually, the lowest regular prices offered. Up to four staterooms can be booked at once using the Find a Cruise tool online. Guests who need to book more than four staterooms at once may call Disney Cruise Line directly to help make booking as smooth as possible.
I know when I first think of booking a family reunion cruise with a large extended family, it seems natural to try to book staterooms as close together as possible. Of course, if that's what is important to you and your family, I endorse that. But when you are selecting your staterooms, I also recommend considering a variety of stateroom categories and locations. On my large family's Alaskan cruise that I mentioned above, we had two staterooms, one on the port side and the other on the starboard side of the ship. Since we had multiple staterooms in different locations, we were naturally encouraged to explore and experience more of the ship. We got to see different stateroom layouts and different views. With even more staterooms like your family would need, having diverse stateroom locations might even encourage mingling of different subgroups of your family to, perhaps, promote the type of family bonding you might hope for on a family reunion. Just some thoughts to consider.
