Seeing conflicting info on size of the Double Beds at Disney Dolphin Resort, some sites stating these are traditional Full mattresses and are 54 inches wide, while some sites are stating they are wider and are actually 58 inches wide? Which is correct?

Welcome to planDisney, Michael! While the summer is officially upon us, you are planning your winter escape to Walt Disney World Resort. I like the way you think! I'm glad to help you with your question!

Many guests choose to stay at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel. While not part of the Disney Resorts Collection, it is in a great location, has a deluxe feel, and offers many of the amenities of staying on-property (like Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours). The website states that rooms at the Dolphin have two double beds. I spoke with someone at the front desk who could not provide the exact measurements but confirmed that the beds are true double beds, which are traditionally 54 inches wide.

This resort has highly rated dining options and multiple pools, but I'd love to tell you about some of my favorite benefits of staying here:

    • It is right next to Disney's Boardwalk. I absolutely love taking an evening stroll around Crescent Lake and just taking in the sights. Sometimes I'll take a morning jog here or maybe just a walk while I sip my coffee. It is a huge perk of staying nearby.
    • Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf is within walking distance. Playing mini golf has become one of my family's traditions when visiting Walt Disney World. It's a fun evening activity while enjoying a break from the theme parks.
    • You can rent a Surrey Bike. This is as much fun as it looks! Some of our best memories have been made renting these bicycles made for couples or families.
    • EPCOT is only a short walk! The fact that you can have dinner in Germany, dessert in France, and then just walk back to your resort is such a wonderful perk!

If you have any more questions, Michael, please come back and see us here at planDisney. We love helping guests plan their next magical vacation!
