I’m planning on a day trip to Disney and I have my Disney pixie pass. My sister is visiting and would like to go with me. Do I buy her ticket at the park or purchase it before we go? It would be a hopper ticket since we want to go to two parks

    Hi Donna!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for being part of the Passholder family! Mickey himself must be thrilled to know you’re making the most of your Disney Pixie Dust Pass.

There’s nothing quite as special as sharing the magic of Walt Disney World with your sister. As someone with a sister myself, I know how wonderful it is to create those priceless memories together. Whether you’re laughing over a Mickey-shaped snack or snapping selfies in front of Cinderella Castle, those are the moments you’ll cherish forever.

Now, let’s talk tickets! I absolutely recommend purchasing your sister’s Park Hopper ticket in advance, especially since it will save you time at the gate. Because your sister’s ticket will be date-based, she won’t need a theme park reservation; but don’t forget that you’ll need to make a reservation for your starting park for that day with your Annual Pass. After that first park, you’re free to hop to the next one and make the most of your adventure.

Another great reason to purchase her ticket early is that you’ll have the option to buy Lightning Lane Multi Pass (LLMP) selections up to three days before your visit. This is a fantastic way to plan ahead and bypass standby lines. When your LLMP booking window opens at 7 AM, you’ll be set to secure up to three of your favorite experiences in advance for a stress-free day.

You’re planning this day trip during one of my favorite times of the year: the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts! It’s the perfect backdrop for a sister adventure, sampling the art-inspired dishes from the Food Studios and exploring the stunning art exhibits. Be sure to check out the Foodie Guide on the Disney Parks Blog ahead of time so you can map out all your must-try treats together!

Finally, don’t forget to take advantage of your Annual Passholder perks, like up to 20% off select dining and merchandise! You can book dining reservations up to 60 days in advance, and there are so many delicious options at the theme parks to choose from. A meal shared with your sister is the perfect way to pause and reflect on the day’s adventures.

Donna, I hope your day with your sister is filled with laughter, joy, and a little extra pixie dust. If you have any other questions while planning your magical day, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re always here to help!
