Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Nicola! It sounds like you're in the middle of a magical day of park hopping; I can't say I'm not a little jealous that you'll be watching
Happily Ever After light up the skies over Cinderella Castle in just a few hours! Let's jump to your question!
Nicola, there are park-to-park
buses that can get you between Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom Theme Park, but because Animal Kingdom does close earlier than Magic Kingdom, by the time you leave Magic Kingdom after the fireworks, those buses may no longer be running. Typically the buses run up to about an hour after the park closes. Because you've already arrived at your second theme park of the day, if you find that there is not a bus running back to Animal Kingdom when you leave tonight, you will need to take a rideshare back to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park to retrieve your vehicle. I'd recommend utilizing a
Minnie Van through the Lyft app as these vehicles can pick you up directly at the bus stop stations outside of Magic Kingdom; otherwise, you will need to take the ferryboat or the Disney Monorail over to the Transportation and Ticket Center to be picked up by any other rideshare service.
If you do plan to do any more park hopping during your visit, keep in mind that
once you've paid to park your vehicle at your first park of the day, you will not have to pay again when you arrive at an additional theme park. I love the convenience of complimentary resort transportation, so sometimes we park our car at our final theme park of the day in the morning so it will be there waiting for us after a fun-filled day!
I hope this helps, Nicola, and I hope you enjoy the rest of your magical day and your magical vacation! If we can help with anything else, come back and let us know! At
planDisney, we're always happy to help you reach out and find your happily ever after!
Memories and Magic,
Alison
