How to I get from animal kingdom to magic kingdom if I’m not staying at a Disney resort

Hi there, Julianne, and welcome to planDisney! I couldn't be happier that you've stopped by with this great question about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation! It sounds like you're planning to do a bit of park hopping during your visit, and you must be so excited!

Julianne, you'll be happy to know that buses generally start transporting Guests from one theme park to another around 10:00 am. Another option would be to use a ride-share service. If you choose to take a Minnie Van, the driver will be able to drop you off at the front entrance of Magic Kingdom Park. If you choose another service, your driver will take you to the Transportation & Ticket Center, where you'll board a Monorail or a ferry to bring you to the entrance of the park. If you're driving your car, you can save your receipt from the parking lot at Animal Kingdom Theme Park and then park for free at Magic Kingdom Park!

One thing to keep in mind when park hopping is that you want to give yourself plenty of time to get to Magic Kingdom. I like to budget about an hour to make the trip, from park exit to park entrance. This is helpful to remember if you're trying to make it in time for a dining reservation, Lightning Lane, or other event.

Julianne, I hope this is helpful to you as you continue to count down to your arrival at the Most Magical Place on Earth! Please stop by planDisney with any other questions you have!

    See ya real soon!
