Hey there, Elyssa! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with such a great question!
Before you know it, you will be embarking on your magical adventure at the
Most Magical Place on Earth, and I could not be more excited for you. My wife and I love dining or relaxing poolside at our
Disney Resort Hotel as much as we enjoy playing in the parks; and arriving at the parks early, taking a midday break and then returning to the parks in the evening is our favorite strategy to have the best Disney day. Now, let's make sure that you have the BEST. DAY EVER!
I think you will be happy to hear that you can absolutely leave the park and return later in the day. If you have One Park Per Day tickets, you will only be able to return to the same park you already visited that day, but if you have Park Hopper tickets, you can return to the same park or a different park on the same day, using just one ticket.
If you have One Park Per Day tickets, you can tap in and out of the same park on the same day as many times as you'd like, and only one park ticket will be used. If you have Park Hopper tickets and visit multiple parks on the same day, rest assured that only one ticket will be used. I have actually visited all four theme parks on the same day using one Park Hopper ticket. It's Disney magic!
When you are taking your midday breaks from the parks, I recommend taking advantage of some of the activities or recreational offerings at your Resort. A lot of these activities are complimentary or available for a small fee, and they're such a fun way to relax while still having a blast and soaking up the magic. When you arrive at your Resort, I recommend snapping a photo of the current activities listed on the Resort Activity board in or near the lobby. That way, you'll always have a list of the activities and schedules with you. Happy planning!
I hope this helps, Elyssa, and I hope you have the most magical and memorable summer vacation! If you have any other questions, please feel free to
stop by and ask me. You've got a friend in me!
Blue skies and sunshine,
Mandy
