Ashley,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
While any trip to Walt Disney World during the holidays is a festive time, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party puts the icing on the cake if you want to celebrate the holiday in style!
You will be glad to hear that, as you suggested, if you are already in the Magic Kingdom during the day and also attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party that same evening, you do not have to leave and re-enter the park just to get your wristband. You also don't even have to go back to the front of the park to Guest Services to get a band. There are stations strategically located around the park where you can quickly get your party wristband without leaving the magic. You can even do it before 4 p.m. Cast members should have no problem directing you to the nearest one.
I have not attended the party yet this year, though we are headed to Walt Disney World in just a day or two! My friends who have already gone reported that there are a few in-park locations for wristband distribution including.
Those locations should get you squared away, and ready for some holiday fun!
BONUS TIP #1If you are looking for other festive fun, make sure you save time to ride the monorail around to
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. Most of the Disney resorts will have special holiday displays, often created by their restaurant staff, that are worthy of the time to visit. But the gingerbread house that they built in the lobby of the Grand Floridian is the best of them all. It is so big they have a cast member inside who sells gingerbread houses you can take with you!
BONUS TIP #2The bands they are using for these special events are different than in years past. They are more comfortable, but I had a hard time taking mine off after attending
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Next time I will leave a pair of small scissors in our hotel room for the job.
Please feel free to
write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.
Have a Magical Vacation!
