Hey there Kristopher!
Thanks for bringing us your question. I apologize if your visit has already ended but I'm hopeful you enjoyed a magical time and were able to secure a balloon during your visit. There's just something so iconic about Disney balloons, especially when the lights go down and they begin to glow. We purchased balloons for each of our children on a visit a few years back and they floated around their bedrooms for
weeks afterward. They didn't generate enough power to float our home to Paradise Falls like in
UP, but they were definitely a great purchase!
I reached out to a Cast Member who confirmed that balloons are typically sold near
The LEGO Store in
Downtown Disney District, but she wasn't certain about an exact start time for light-up balloon availability. My guess is that, if available, they would begin to appear around dusk as they do in the parks. My pal
Elaine was there on Christmas Eve and spotted balloons for sale, but was even more
captivated by the "snow" falling and holiday music playing. After hearing her glowing review I'm officially campaigning for my family to celebrate the holiday season at Disneyland Resort next year.
There is plenty of fun and entertainment in store for guests year-round at Downtown Disney District, too! I could spend hours shopping at
World of Disney and am always impressed by the milkshake creations from the
CrazyShake Window by Black Tap. Speaking of dining, there are
more options to come!
Kristopher, if we can answer additional questions as you prepare for your next visit please come back and let us know. Wishing you a happy and healthy New Year!
Adventure is out there,
Amy
