Hello! I’m looking at a club stay at the Polynesian in June (with 2 younger kids). Are there benefits vs a regular room if we don’t need breakfast or concierge planning services? Thank you!

    Hi Amy,

Disney's Polynesian Resort is one of my family's favorite places to stay because of the convenient transportation, delicious food options, and the view of the fireworks at night! The pool is also not to be missed for little ones and adults alike. It is arguably one of the best pool slides in Disney World with quick access to a stand to buy Dole Whip!

For me, the biggest benefit available when staying in a Club Level room is having access to the lounge. The lounge provides food that is all-inclusive for your stay from 7 am until 10 pm daily. There will be a continental breakfast as well as light bites and dessert throughout the remainder of the day. The view from the Polynesian's King Kamehameh Club is fabulous for fireworks viewing with the added benefits of air conditioning and dessert! Most people also enjoy taking advantage of the concierge planning services to help them navigate the theme parks especially if it has been a while since they have visited.

My family has a hard time finding enough value in the upgrade to a club-level room when staying at Disney World because I love trying new meals and experiencing a variety of restaurants when I travel. If you won't be eating a lot of meals at the lounge and you do not need concierge planning services, I would take that extra money per night and utilize it for some of the Enchanting Extras that Disney World offers. This is where I always choose to spend my splurge money because they are experiences that create core memories!

The Wild Africa Trek is one of the coolest experiences at Disney's Animal Kingdom because you get to go behind the scenes of the African safari and up close and personal with the animals. My kids and I will never forget crossing the rope bridge that dangles over the crocodiles. Another great option is to visit the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for a fun makeover into your favorite princess or a knight.

    Happy Planning
    Jenna
