Hi I'm going to disney world in September 2027 this will be my second trip. The first one was two years ago but I got sick. I was unable to use the park tickets I purchased. How can I still use the tickets, I see them on the disney app.

    Welcome back to planDisney, Erika!

As much as those first trips to Disney World will forever be in your heart, deciding to return should tell you that you’re yearning to dive deeper into the magic. Smelling popcorn as you walk down Main Street, U.S.A., doing another lap in a water park’s lazy river, clapping along to the jungle beats at Animal Kingdom, customizing one-of-a-kind souvenirs to take home to loved ones. How could you not want to journey back to The Most Magical Place on Earth?

What’s awesome about unused Disney World theme park tickets is that their value can be applied to another ticket or annual pass. In your case, if your tickets still haven’t expired by your September 2027 vacation, you can simply use those exact tickets. However, if they expire and you can no longer see them in your My Disney Experience app, you’ll need to call a friendly Cast Member or visit a ticketing window while on property to apply their value to a new form of valid admission. You would then pay the difference (if applicable).

From there, especially if your tickets are undated, make theme park reservations. You’ll want to do this when you’re a bit closer to your arrival date. This ensures that you and your party are able to tap into the magic on the day(s) and for the theme parks that you desire.

AN EXTRA GEM: Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom is usually going on in September and October (when you will be at Disney World). It is a special ticketed event that is after official theme park hours. If your family likes trick-or-treating or simply enjoying shorter attraction queues, this is a must-do experience.

Thanks again for dropping in to ask us your question, Erika. I hope that you’ve found this answer helpful and that you are happy and healthy on your next Disney adventure. As you’re planning your upcoming Disney World vacation, feel free to revisit us here at planDisney to get all the tips and tricks to make your trip even more special.

    Magic always,
