Hi there, Yomarys, and welcome to planDisney!
I can confidently say that there's no better place to celebrate birthdays than Walt Disney World. My kiddos have loved going to our "Happy Place" to soak up the magic on their birthdays throughout the years. From having a character dining meal to opening presents at our favorite Resort hotels, it's an easy decision for us to always choose Disney World to celebrate another trip around the sun.
First things first, Disney World is made up of four different theme parks, two water parks, shopping areas (like Disney Springs), other recreational activities, and several Resort hotels. You'll want to narrow down your trip to fit your family's wants and needs. If your daughter is a little Mouseketeer, I recommend taking it easy by visiting 1-2 theme parks and booking a hotel that is close to the theme parks for midday nap breaks. Is she a teenager or older? Try park hopping to all four theme parks for a big adventure!
Start with booking a
Disney Vacation Package. This is a complete package that includes a hotel stay, theme park tickets, and even dining plans (prepaid meals). It's the best way to make the most of your stay. By the way, I see that you are considering a summer visit. Because of
Cool KIDS' SUMMER, there are some amazing things to do and deals to take advantage of at Disney World. For example, the guests staying in your hotel room will get free admission to the water parks on your check-in day.
Once you've booked your stay (yay!), download the
My Disney Experience app to familiarize yourself with all of the offerings and locations. You'll get many ideas for attractions to ride, shows to watch, and meals to eat. I personally like to write out a list of everyone's must-dos so that everyone in my group leaves satisfied. My family's must-dos usually revolve around table-service restaurants, like the Crystal Palace to see Winnie the Pooh and friends, and family rides, like Slinky Dog Dash at Hollywood Studios.
Here are some activities and things that I think that your daughter will like, especially because you're celebrating her big day:
-
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Magic Kingdom to get a princess makeover
-A
Capture Your Moment photo shoot, which is a private session with a Disney PhotoPass photographer
-Shorter waits in ride queues by pre-purchasing
Lightning Lane Multi Passes-A birthday cake from
Amorette's Patisserie AN EXTRA GEM: A fun (and complimentary) way to celebrate your daughter's birthday is to grab a celebration button that reads "Happy Birthday." You'll be surprised by how many people--both Cast Members and other guests--will stop your crew to wish your daughter a happy birthday. You can get a button from a ticket window, stroller or wheelchair rental stations, your hotel's front desk, or other various locations around the Resort.
Yomarys, happy early birthday to your daughter! If you have additional questions before, during, or after your visit,
reach out to us here at planDisney. Any of the panelists are more than happy to help!
Magic always,
LeAndra
