Hello there! I’m going to Disney World in June from the UK and I’m wondering if there will be anything Brother Bear in the parks at all? It’s my absolute favourite movie in the whole world (I even have two tattoos) any chance of merch or meet&greets?

Cheerio, Edward! Welcome to planDisney. It sounds like you’ve got a beary magical summer holiday to look forward to. How exciting!

Like you, I have such a soft spot for Brother Bear. I used to watch it with my two older sons when they were little, and we all loved the bond between Koda and Kenai. The way they tease each other, protect each other, and grow together really reminded me of the sibling connection my boys share. And let’s be honest...Phil Collins outdid himself with that soundtrack! I still find myself singing along to “On My Way” every time I hear it.

Now, I wish I had better news about spotting Koda and Kenai. They are very rare characters to see in the Disney Parks these days. While they sadly no longer meet at Storytellers Café at Disneyland Resort in California (where my boys once got to hug them!), they have been known to make surprise appearances at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World in April, especially around Earth Day. So while your June visit might miss that window, keep a close eye on special event announcements just in case!

They’ve also been spotted from time to time at Disney Vacation Club Moonlight Magic events at Animal Kingdom and are rumored to occasionally appear aboard the Disney Wonder cruise ship during its Alaskan itinerary, which makes sense for those wilderness vibes!

If you’re hoping for a little Brother Bear magic while you’re in the parks, be sure to check out The Animation Experience at Conservation Station in Animal Kingdom. From time to time, Koda and Kenai pop up as characters you can learn to draw, which is a fun and unique way to connect with the film.

Also, while it’s not necessarily the same, you may enjoy a visit to the newly reimagined Country Bear Musical Jamboree at Magic Kingdom, where some bear cousins are always ready to entertain! While you're there, try checking The Frontierland Pin Trading Post (next to Pecos Bill’s) for some bear themed merchandise, including pins. You can also potentially find some items at the gift shop at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.

And here’s a handy tip: open your My Disney Experience app, tap the map icon, then choose “Characters” from the drop-down menu. You can view meet-and-greet locations and times, and if any surprises pop up with Koda and Kenai, that’s the place to find out!

Wishing you a truly unforgettable adventure, Edward! Warm hugs from one Brother Bear fan to another,
