I’m confused. The public is invited to the Disney Boardwalk but you can only park at the Boardwalk if you have a dinning reservation. Aren’t there a few areas that don’t require a reservation? So they can only be accessed if you have a reservation?

Hi there, David, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy you're here with this great question about your upcoming visit to Disney's BoardWalk Inn and the BoardWalk area. It's one of my favorite parts of Walt Disney World Resort!

David, Guests who are not staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel are welcome to visit that hotel and enjoy shopping and dining there, though sometimes it can require a bit of creativity to get there. If you don't want to make an Advance Dining Reservation at a BoardWalk area restaurant, which would likely allow you to park there at no charge, you would probably need to park somewhere else. I suggest parking at Disney Springs, which is complimentary, and taking a bus to Disney's BoardWalk Inn. There are plenty of areas that don't require a reservation, and you'll have plenty to do, see, and eat around Crescent Lake whether you decide to make a reservation or not!

Did you know that you can rent a Surrey Bike during your visit? It's such a fun way to get around the BoardWalk, and it always makes for a great photo!

David, I hope this is helpful as you plan to visit Walt Disney World Resort! If you'd like any recommendations or have any other questions before your arrival, please stop back by planDisney! My Panelist pals and I are here and happy to help!

    See you real soon!
