Hi there, Marguerite, and welcome to planDisney! My Panelist pals and I are here and always happy to help our fellow Guests plan unforgettable vacations to Walt Disney World Resort! It sounds like your visit will be here in just a few short weeks, and you must be getting so excited!
Marguerite, you'll be happy to know that
charging your
MagicBand+ is easy with the charger that came with it. It's recommended that you charge your MagicBand+ before your visit and nightly during your stay. The MagicBand+ will snap right into the charger and the little metal pieces will touch. If you have an older version of a MagicBand, it won't have the ability to be charged. The batteries in older MagicBands are meant to last a couple of years, and I've had some that have lasted longer. The only way to know if your battery still has life is to give it a try at Walt Disney World Resort.
Happily, there are a couple of
back-up plans you can have in case your MagicBand's battery has run out. You're welcome to grab a Key to the World card at the front desk of your Disney Resorts Collection hotel or at Guest Services at the Disney Theme Parks. This card will have your admission linked to it, and you can use it to tap in at park entry. You'll also be able to use it to charge purchases to your Resort, and more! Another option is the
Disney MagicMobile Service. This allows you to save your ticket to the wallet of your smart phone, just like you would with a credit card or boarding pass.
Lastly, you can always purchase a brand new MagicBand+ at most merchandise locations in Walt Disney World Resort. Helpful Cast Members will help you set it up and make sure it's linked to your MyDisney account.
Marguerite, I hope this is helpful as you put the finishing touches on your vacation plans! Please stop back by planDisney with any other questions you have as you continue to count down to your arrival. I'm here to help!
See you real soon!
