Hi there, Tommy. Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours on the very first night?! What a way to start your Disney World vacation! Being in the parks after hours is extra magical, so let’s talk about this exclusive perk.
In my experience, you don’t need to leave the theme park and re-enter after Extended Evening Theme Park Hours has begun. Once it starts, Cast Members at the front of each attraction will scan your
MagicBand, Key to the World Card, or
Disney MagicMobile pass to check your eligibility.
Magic Kingdom Extended Evening Theme Park Hours is my favorite because there are so many attractions available to ride, and some are even better at night!
Dumbo the Flying Elephant isn't one of my must-dos during the day, but at night you get such a great aerial view of the park’s sparkling lights. And my friends tell me that
TRON is amazing after the sun goes down, but I’m not a coaster person so I can’t tell you from personal experience! There are a few rides that don’t run after hours, so check the
website to see what’s scheduled to be open. If there’s anything on your list that won’t be running, be sure to ride them during regular park hours.
You’re also staying in the perfect location for the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival! The
Swan Reserve is a short walk (or
FriendShip Boat ride) away from EPCOT’s International Gateway entrance. EPCOT is so pretty this time of year with all the flowers and plants covering every corner of the park. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for more details, including the festival foodie guide and
Garden Rocks Concert Series lineup. I’m hoping they bring back my favorite frozen violet lemonade!
Have a great time at Extended Evening Theme Park Hours and be sure to come back to planDisney if you have any other questions!
