Hey there, Bridgette!
Thanks for jogging over to planDisney with this question. I'm happy to help!
If you've ever conquered a
runDisney event, you know that every mile is magic, especially at The Most Magical Place on Earth. While I can't think of a better place to log some outdoor miles than the grounds of a beautifully themed Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you might hit a few roadblocks with your current plan.
Complimentary overnight standard self-parking is available to guests at their Disney Resort Collection hotel, but daytime guest parking can be tricky. In my experience, guards at the entrance gates will ask you for resort or dining reservation details before allowing you to park. Your mileage may vary depending on the Cast Member, resort, or even the day of the week, but I've seen many guests denied parking without some type of reservation.
My suggestion would be to park at one of the theme parks instead since your
Annual Pass includes standard theme park parking. I recommend grabbing a spot at Disney's Hollywood Studios and using the waterfront path over to
Disney's BoardWalk. This path is about .8 miles long but you can continue the loop around Crescent Lake which will add another .8 miles and plenty of beautiful scenery.
Alternatively, you can board the
Disney Skyliner over to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and enjoy the 1.25-mile
jogging loop around Barefoot Bay, or transfer at the Caribbean Beach Skyliner Station to Disney's Art of Animation Resort. The loop around Hourglass Lake is 1.38 miles long and will offer views of Disney's Pop Century Resort as well.
I hope this gets you to the starting line of your next resort jog, Bridgette. If we can answer any additional questions please don't hesitate to come back and let us know.
Magic and memories,
Amy
