I'll be in the park for Starwars night May 2nd, 2024. I want to build a lightsaber before the event starts. I booked the experience for 6:05 pm but can't enter the park until 6:00 pm. Will I make it in time or should I just cancel?

Hello there and welcome to planDisney, Leanna. We're so glad you found us to ask this question. We are the panelists you're looking for and we're delighted to help.

I'm so excited to hear that you will be attending Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite in a couple of months. I can't think of a better way to commemorate the event and start your evening than by building a custom lightsaber at Savi's Workshop. I hate to share unfavorable news, but it looks like it's recommended to check in 10 minutes before your reservation for this experience. Traveling to Batuu will take quite a bit of time (even with a podracer) from the entry point of Disneyland Park, and 10 minutes before your reservation is also before you can enter the theme park with your special event ticket.

I have a couple of suggestions for you, Leanna. You can always purchase a 1-day One Park Per Day ticket to enjoy Disneyland for the full day leading up to your reservation and special after-hours event if you so desire. Alternatively, you can cancel your current reservation and continue to check the website for a later time slot to open up for you to book. Guests' plans often change and you may see a reservation become available for later in the evening that will work for you.

It's going to be an out-of-this-world evening. Even if you don't wind up building a custom lightsaber on this particular trip, I recommend heading over to the Millennium Falcon for the Resistance Show of Unity! It's such a cool sight to see all of the lightsabers illuminated in the night sky.

Leanna, I'm sorry I don't have better news to share but hope that this information is still helpful. I'll be sending pixie dust your way in the hopes that everything works out.

May the Force be with you!
