My husbands magic band plus won’t pair with my phone. My band paired to my phone. Also, mine won’t let me change the colors or turn on vibrate or anything.

    Howdy Bonnie!

I love it when a fellow Texan stops by planDisney with a question for us.

Your trip is almost here! I hope you're thinking of all the wonderful and happiest thoughts as you embark on your Walt Disney World Resort adventures! Let's discuss your MagicBand+ issue. Hopefully, with a bit of faith, trust, and pixie dust, we'll get it working in no time!

Bonnie, you are able to link MagicBand+ to anyone that appears on your Family and Friends list; however, you can only manage MagicBands for Guests whose profiles and plans you manage. If your husband already has his own My Disney Experience account and you don't manage his plans, you won't be able to link his MagicBand+ to your device. Your husband, however, can connect the band to his phone.

If you open your My Disney Experience Mobile App, tap the three horizontal lines located on the bottom right, and choose MagicBands and More, you'll be able to see the MagicBands linked to you, as well as the ones that are connected to the Guests who have profiles managed by you.

I'm sorry your MagicBand+ is unresponsive. Sometimes to troubleshoot, I'll turn the power on and off to reset it. To power it off, you'll want to press and hold the button on the back of your band for about six seconds until it buzzes twice. If the power off is successful, the LED light will turn and rotate once in reverse, and if you press and hold the button for one second, you'll be able to power it back on. Once it's on, you will see a solid green light.

If it's still not working, you can try the Factory Reset option. According to the MagicBand+ troubleshooting page, please follow these instructions:

Factory Reset: Reset your band with a single press of the button, quickly followed by a second press that you hold for 15 seconds. After 3 haptic buzzes, your MagicBand+ will glow with rainbow colors. This indicates that your band is restarting. The lights will turn off and then flash green once the factory reset is complete.

If this still doesn't help, give a friendly Cast Member at My Disney Experience, MagicBand, and MagicBand+ a call so they can help you and your husband further.

Wishing you an enchanting visit, Bonnie!
