Hi! So my husband and I are planning to spend 2 days dedicate to the parks on November 12 and 13, 2024. We want to visit Epcot, Hollywood, and magic kingdom for the Christmas event. We think park hopper would be best, but what makes most sense financially?

    Hi there, Candice!

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for stopping by with your Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. I'm excited to hear that you and your Happily Ever After are considering a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth in just a couple of weeks! Let's discuss your options for theme park admission during your holly jolly holiday vacation.

Candice, you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during the most magical time of the year! Since you hope to attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, as well as visit EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios, I would recommend purchasing a 1-day theme park ticket with the Park Hopper option for November 12, 2023, and a special event ticket for November 13, 2023. (At the time of writing, I still see remaining availability for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on that date!) You'll be able to begin your day at either EPCOT or Disney's Hollywood Studios on your first theme park day and "hop" to the other park after 2:00 p.m. On the day of your after-hours event at Magic Kingdom Park, you'll be able to enter the theme park as early as 4:00 p.m. - a full three hours before the party even begins! I think this combination of ticket types will provide you with the best value and allow you to experience everything on your "must-do" list.

If you'll be staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you'll be able to take advantage of early theme park entry and enter the theme parks 30 minutes before they open to the public! This is a great way to maximize the value of your time at the Walt Disney World Resort. Since you won't have a full day at Magic Kingdom Park on the day of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, I encourage you to spend some time dining and shopping at Disney Springs or the Disney Resort hotels on property. For example, you could start off your day with Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends at Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera at Disney's Riviera Resort, check out the stores and live entertainment at Disney Springs, and then head to Magic Kingdom Park at 4:00 p.m. to get the party started!

Candice, I hope you've found this information helpful and wish you a magical and memorable holiday vacation. If you have any additional planning questions, feel free to revisit us at planDisney anytime! We're all ears.

    See ya real soon,

    Lauren
